Pricing and Margin Calculator
by Cosmos Research
What is the Pricing and Margin Calculator?
The Pricing and Margin Calculator is a web-based financial tool designed to help business owners, freelancers, and merchants determine the ideal selling price for their items. Instead of just adding a basic markup, this calculator uses the professional margin pricing formula, which ensures that your chosen profit percentage is accurately calculated from the final retail price.
Key Features and Benefits
The tool automatically combines your raw production costs and additional expenses, such as packaging or shipping, into a single total Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). It features an interactive slider that allows you to test different profit margins from 1% up to 90% instantly. Every time you move the slider, the calculator immediately displays your total costs, your exact net profit per unit, and a rounded recommended selling price so you can make informed business decisions on the spot.

Body Mass Index (BMI)
by Cosmos Research
What is BMI?
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a simple and widely used statistical measurement used to estimate an individual's healthy body weight based on their height and weight. It is calculated by dividing a person's weight in kilograms by the square of their height in meters (\(kg/m^2\)).
Purpose and Classification
The primary purpose of BMI is to serve as an accessible screening tool to identify potential weight-related health issues. According to global health standards, BMI scores fall into four main categories:
Underweight: BMI below 18.5
Normal Weight: BMI between 18.5 and 24.9
Overweight: BMI between 25.0 and 29.9
Obesity: BMI of 30.0 or higher
Limitations
While BMI is a quick way to assess health risks related to weight, it does not directly measure body fat percentage. Consequently, it may not perfectly reflect health status for athletes with high muscle mass, pregnant women, or the elderly.
